Biography

Liam Maher age 65; Beloved husband of Jane nee Dunne; dearest father of Erin (Anand) Patel, and Edward; devoted grandfather of Emma, Sean and Ryan; loving brother of Kathleen Roberts and Vincent Maher; dear uncle of many; dearest friend and devoted companion of Charlie, the black Labrador. Native of Kilmanahan, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. Liam was born at home in rural Ireland as the 2nd of 3 children. His beginnings were rough but he was smart, goal oriented and worked hard to get where he wanted. At age 18, he was luckily hired for a job in Addison, Illinois and shortly thereafter moved to America to start his life on his own. He met Jane in 1974 and was married in 1977. He had two amazing children and instilled in them many core values. He traveled as many places as possible and would hop in the car at a whim to start a new adventure. He absolutely loved to drive on the open road. Many of his hard working perseverant characteristics were passed down to his beloved children. He worked very hard and he accomplished all of his goals. He was an incredible man and a gentleman to everyone he met. He will not be forgotten and will live on in all of our hearts. Even in the end he was perseverant and fought hard until the end.
