Biography

Zygfryd Sulisz age 82; Beloved husband of Elzbieta for 62 years; Loving father of Alicja (Robert) Miller and Pawel (Dorota) Sulisz; Cherished Grandpa of Christian (Kathleen) Miller, Lauren (Robert) TeKampe, Jacqueline Sulisz (Angel Montella), Jonathan Sulisz and Adrian Olinski and Great- Grandpa of Madison and Logan; Loving brother of Antoni and Maria; Dear son of the late Marian and Weronika. Zygrfyd's actions during his life were a testament to his character. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Zygfryd met the love of his life Elżbieta in 1961 and the rest was history. Zygrfryd and Elzbieta started a family while Zygfryd pursued his passion of engineering and flying model airplanes in the Warsaw Aeroclub where he set himself apart from his peers by being crowned world champion. In 1971, Zygfryd and his family left their homeland behind and moved to America in search of a better future for Alicja and Pawel. Zygfryd and his family settled down in Itasca where he lived out his life, smiling and laughing along the way. During his life, Zygfryd received the esteemed title of great grandfather but will always be remembered as Dziadzek. The loss of Zygfrd will be felt deeply but his legacy will live on through the family he left behind. Visitation Tuesday, December 19th, 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, December 20th, 9:00 AM until time of funeral, 9:30 AM at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E.
