Biography

Freddie Lewis Brake of Wood Dale. Loving husband and father, Freddie Brake, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25th, 2023. He was born September 2nd, 1939 in Central City, KY, the son of Theodore and Capitola May (nee Eaves) Brake. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Agnes. He married the love of his life, Hilda Jean (nee Mitchell) Brake in 1962 and was happily married for over 60 years. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his two sons, Chris and Scott Brake, and five grandchildren, Karisa and Jenna Brake, and Daniel, Steven, and Kelly Brake along with his brother Tommy and sister Faye. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from 3-8 PM at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd (at Prospect), Itasca, IL.
