Biography

Wendy Lee Rebmann, 55, of Bensenville, passed away on December 9, 2018 at Elmhurst Hospital. Wendy was born in Naperville to her mother, Sandra and father, William Miller Jr on April 28, 1963. Wendy’s stepfather, Richard Janos, helped guide her through her adolescent and early adult years. During Wendy’s childhood she was fearless and energetic. She loved digging for worms, hunting salamanders, and playing outside. She was always the first to offer help when needed, such as searching frantically for her younger brother’s finger when he cut a piece off in a lawn mower accident. She married Michael Rebmann on December 6, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bensenville. She worked for Trix Manufacturing for 11 years. She also worked at Honor Gard for 18 years. She was involved in a variety of charitable organizations, including: Bensenville Lions club, Fenton High School’s Booster Club, Zion Lutheran Church, and she opened her home to the DCFS foster care system for 6 years. During Wendy’s free time, she enjoyed painting, drawing, walking in the rain, watching the moon, photography (she was always behind the camera!), cooking meals meant for an army, fishing, and watching both her sons, Justin Cuvala and Richard Rebmann, grow up. Wendy was extremely proud of her son’s accomplishments in life. Wendy was the life of the party, and celebrated each day surrounded by family and close friends. Wendy is survived by her husband, Michael Rebmann. She is also survived by her sons Justin Cuvala and wife Jessica, and Richard Rebmann and girlfriend Lasha Baker. Her grandchildren Gabriel, Natalie, Richard “Ricky”, and Zander Cuvala. Her mother Sandra Janos and stepfather Richard; mother in-law Janet Winters, and father-in-law Richard Rebmann. Her sister Vicki Gross and husband Joe, sister Debbie Miller, brother Bill Miller, step brother Jeff Janos and wife Missy, and step sister Corrine Janos. Brother in-law Daniel Rebmann and wife Christine. Nieces Veronica Gross, Ava Miller, Eliana Burgos, Samantha Rebmann and boyfriend Steve Michaud, and Shyanne Ruddy. Nephews Billy Miller and wife Casandra, Ryan Miller and wife Katie, Branden Miller and fiancé Catie Trofimuk, and Nick Rebmann. Aunt Sharon Weber and husband Fred, and uncles Robert Hall and wife Barbara, Chip Hall and wife Sue, Robert Rebmann and wife Mary, and Ronald Rebmann and wife Linda. Cousins Greg Hall, Linda Behrendt and husband Chuck, Tami Koney and husband Ben, Patrick Shanahan and wife Sharon, Matthew Shanahan, Jason Hall, and Casey Hall and wife Chasity. Wendy was preceded in death by her dearest friend Rick Cuvala, sister-in-law Sandy Miller, father William Miller, Jr., uncle Warren Hall, father-in-law Jerry Winters, and mother-in-law Lee Rebmann. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16th from 3:00 - 8:00 pm with a Funeral Service, 7:00 pm at The Oaks Funeral Home in Itasca 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca.
