Biography

Jean Ann “Jeannie” Cifonie, age 86; She was born on Jan 3rd, 1932 in Chicago, Il. and passed away peacefully Dec. 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Cifonie. Jean was the loving mother of Nicholas (Judy) Capaccio, Fredrick (Heidi Stephan) Capaccio, Ron (Margaret) Capaccio and Gina (Michael) Pezza. She was grandmother “Nonnie” of many beautiful grandchildren, Brandon Capaccio, Courtney (Ben) Caudill, Dana (Zach) Glim, Philip Pezza, Justin (Amber) Capaccio, Ryan (Rachel) Capaccio, Brandy (Ben) McDonough, Nathaniel Capaccio, Andrew Pezza and Trent Capaccio and great grandmother of Madden Capaccio, Grayson Caudill, Carter Capaccio, Jack Caudill and Maeve Caudill. She was youngest child of the late Ferdinando and Philomena Ruffolo and the loving sister of the late Diana (James) Galfano and the late Lucille (Dan) DeSalvo and the late Albert Ruffolo. She enjoyed volunteering with the “girls” in the gift shop at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield and also on the Mother Baby Unit at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be missed by all. Visitation Saturday Dec. 15th 9:00-10:30 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E Irving Park Rd. (at Prospect), Itasca to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 551 N Rush St. Itasca for a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
