Biography

Candace Anne Mintrup age 72, nee Egan; of Elk Grove Village passed on March 27, 2019. Candace was born to John Patrick “Jack” and Loretta “Nancy” in Oak Park, IL. She graduated from Trinity High School in 1964. Candace was the awesome mother of Christie Mintrup and Tony (Sue) Mintrup; Cherished Grandma Candy of Jeremy, Gabrielle, Madeline and Brennan; loving sister of Debbie (Tim) Raucci; Fun loving aunt of Jodi, Amy (Pat) Dunne and Mandi (Mark) Hansen; Adored by in-laws, Cathy DeCook and Ruth (the late Harry) Mintrup and many friends. She will be remembered for her loving kindness, passion for teaching and selfless, optimistic attitude. Visitation Friday, March 29th, 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Family and friends will meet Saturday, March 30th, 9:30 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at Saint Julian Eymard Church 601 Biesterfield Rd, Elk Grove Village.
