Biography

Rita Egede Vihnanek nee Andersen, Born November 11,1934. Originally from Denmark, she then resided in Addison, IL. , and passed peacefully surrounded by her family on June 13, 2016. She was preceded in death in 2000 by her loving husband Robert J. Vihnanek. She is survived by her children Jill Bonk, Kenneth and William (Judy) Vihnanek. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brett, Erik, Sara, Kristina, and Emily. Rita was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark until the age of 18 when she decided to come to America. She met Robert shortly after and they married on October 1,1956. They raised 3 children and were blessed by their 5 grandchildren which she adored.
