Biography

Rosaria Maria Zoubek (nee Grimaudo), age 56, of Bartlett, succumbed to liver failure while awaiting a transplant at the University of Illinois Hospital, July 12, 12:10 a.m., ending her 15-year battle against sarcoidosis. Formerly a resident of Wood Dale for 26 years, Rosaria attended Holy Ghost Catholic School and Fenton High School. She married her teenage sweetheart, Steve, also a Wood Dale resident, where they raised three sons. Until her retirement, Rosaria was a dedicated employee at the Elmhurst Clinic for over 20 years. Her life-loves included hosting family gatherings, Italian cooking, avidly reading, and the splendor of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Steve; her children Anthony (Jessica), Joseph, and Jeremy; her father, Domenico Grimaudo; her siblings Jasper (Patricia), Alessandro (Lois) and Josephine (Victor) Cacciatore; and dozens of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Beloved daughter of the late Francesca Grimaudo. Visitation Monday, 3:00 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Eulogies will begin at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of funeral, 9:30 a.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, (at Prospect), Itasca to Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Wood Dale. Mass 10:00 a.m., Entombment in the Our Lady of Angels Mausoleum at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
