Biography

Lawrence “Larry” G. Anderson age 72; passed away on December 7, 2019 in Wood Dale. He was born on February 26, 1947 in Chicago to Lawrence P. and Charlotte Anderson, where he lived prior to moving to Wood Dale. Larry was the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” Schock Ramsey Anderson (nee Vos) for 29 years. Larry graduated from Fenton High School and DeVry Institute. He worked in his family’s CharLar Restaurant in Wood Dale and their family bar in Rhinelander, WI before holding numerous electronic positions at Motorola, A&H Entertainers, Rock-Ola, Seeburg and Muzak (Mood). He retired after more than 20 years at Muzak as their chief Bench Technician for repair, design and custom fabrication. Larry was able to repair everything from antique electronic to modern satellites and internet audio sources. He was the assistant to the Operations Manager and later added Warehouse Manager to his responsibilities. Larry was valued and special to all the techs in the field. He was extremely valuable, reliable, resourceful and able to carry out additional responsibilities while the Operations Manager was out of the office, out of town on business or vacation. Larry had a side business, Coin Operated Juke Box Repair, repairing juke boxes in homes for almost 50 years. He also had a love for a collection of Lionel Model Trains. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Charlene Zabel and brother-in-law, Gordon Zabel; his grandparents, James G. and Eileen Atton and cousin, Billy Atton.
