Biography

Gerald “Jerry” George Tindall , 81, of Elmhurst was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin April 19, 1938. After having served in the United States Army, Jerry was united in holy matrimony to his best friend and beloved wife Carmella (nee Albanese) in July of 1959, and this union was blessed with three children. He was the loving father of Geraldine (Richard) Richter, Sandi ( late Alan) Tinkey, and Joseph (Fran)Tindall, an adoring papa of Katie (Gino) Campise, Eric (Jill), and Susan Richter, Nicolette Tindall, Marisa and Cody Tarsa, Samantha, Ben and the late Beth Tinkey and a doting great-papa of Natalie & Gianna. Loving brother of Gordon, Gwen, Rosemary, Ronnie, Bernie, and Harold. Extremely loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jerry, a die-hard Cubs,Bears, and Notre Dame fan, had a knack for telling stories, and he loved his family more than life itself. One of the strongest men we knew, Jerry will be forever missed and remembered by his friends, family, and all who knew him. To know him was to love him. Visitation Friday, August 23 from 4-8p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd., Itasca, IL 60143. Following a morning prayer on Saturday, August 24, at 10 a.m. a procession to Elm Lawn Cemetery, 401 E. Lake St., Elmhurst, IL 60126 will take place. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
