Biography

Keith E. Beine, 87 passed away in his sleep early Sunday Morning, Feb 9, 2020. Keith was born Feb 23, 1932 in Grand Forks, ND. He Lived in Elk Grove Village, IL since 1954 and then moved to Itasca, IL in 2005 where he lived until his death. He was the beloved Husband of 65 years to Alice (nee Ollmann), loving Father of Kenneth, Kent and Cheryl (John) Pigott, beloved “Pop” to Carrie, Bonnie and Brian Pigott. Brother to Dale (Shirley) Beine and the late Jim (the late Ollie) Beine. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was the owner of Beine Excavating, Inc. in Roselle, IL until his retirement when the business was taken over by his sons, Ken and Kent. Keith was an active member of Bethany UMC where he sang in the choir and played handbells. He was a very active member of VFW Post 5167. He was in the United States Army based in Korea from August 1952 until June 1954 when he was honorably discharged. Keith was an avid Outdoor sportsman especially out west in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. He enjoyed traveling: Africa, Japan, and Brazil, some for fun, some for work. Keith was not afraid to take challenges. Keith was a die-hard hockey fan (especially the Chicago Wolves) as long as he was in his recliner and it was on the TV. He loved to snowmobile in Michigan and Wisconsin. Visitation Sunday, February 16th, 3:00 - 8:00 pm with VFW service at 7pm. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca, IL. Family and friends will meet Monday, February 17th at The Center (formerly Bethany UMC) 400 N. Walnut, Itasca, for a viewing 9:30 am until the Service, 10:00 am. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West.
