Biography

Alla Mae Arriaga ( nee Hodge) February 11, 1934 - November 26, 2016 Alla Mae passed away suddenly at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL surrounded by many family members. She was better known as Mom, Gramma, Gram Gram, Gramma Bear, Granny Gritz and Mae. Beloved wife to the late Phillip B. Arriaga Sr.; Beloved Mother to her nine children, Phillip Arriaga Jr.(Elizabeth Medina Arriaga) Ray Arriaga (the late Brenda Pryor Arriaga), David Arriaga (the late Patricia Berryman), Agnes Arriaga (David Lipps), Stuart Arriaga, Rosemarie Arriaga (Rich Medearis), Mary Bray (Richard Bray Sr.) and the late Nick C. Arriaga (Laura Ulrich Arriaga) and Johnny Arriaga. Beloved Grandma to Stephanie & Robin Medina Arriaga, Tabbatha Waslesyn, Johnny Arriaga Henson, Rachel Pryor Arriaga, Crystal Arriaga, Heather Orozco, Alicia Arriaga, Nick C.Arriaga Jr., Alexander Arriaga, Samantha Bray, Richard Bray Jr, Elizabeth Bray, Linda Arriaga, Joyce Berryman, Jacinta Dooley Arriaga, Carlotta Dooley Arriaga and the late Michael Waslesyn; Beloved Great Grandma to Michael & Tylor Waslesyn, Michael, Manny, Angel and Anthony Reyes, Aiden & CJ McUllif, Maximo Villagomez, Ricardo, Isabela and Emiliano Medina, Saphira Munoz, Ruben & Aliza Sanchez, Monica Flores, Jesse Montives, Ella & Rosemary Arriaga and Christopher Orozco. Beloved Sister to James Hodge, Edgar Hodge, Robert Hodge and Richard Hodge and the late Agnes June Hodge, Shelvey McArthur, Brooxie Sollenberger,and Mary Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Rae (nee Hilliard) and Kazie Steale Hodge; grandparents, many aunts and uncles and her pets, Goldie & Cinnamon. Mom was loved by all and will be missed by many. She is finally at peace. Amen. A Memorial Visitation will be held at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Rd. (at Prospect), Itasca, IL 60143 on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12:00 - 6:00 pm. with Pastor Sherry Lowery will be saying a few words at 5:00 pm to close the service. All are welcome. Refreshments will be available throughout the service.
