Biography

Robert Paul La Scola, age 70, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on June 5, 2017. Dearly loved husband of Rosemary Jean nee Calucci; deeply devoted father of Carolyn (Scott) Vicini, Chad (Nicola) Seibert, Jayne (Wayne) VanderVelde, and Angelina (John) Hazucha; loving grandfather of Blake, Riley, Zoë, Paige, Nathanael, Joshua, Meadow, and Gabriel; cherished son of Helen and the late Samuel La Scola; caring brother of the late Nancy (John) Siemieniec, the late Richard (Patricia), and Joseph (Lynne); dear brother-in-law of Michael (Susan) Calucci; and beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Visitation on Wednesday, June 7, 3:00–8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Family and friends will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 8, 12:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Ghost, 254 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale. Interment Private. Successful quality control manager in the baking industry for over 30 years. Devoted White Sox and Bulls fan. Avid supporter of the DuPage Democratic Party. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Robert’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
