Biography

C’Dale Audrey Fridlund nee Bell; Beloved wife of the late Dr. John Fridlund; Dearest mother of Tina (Ted) Douglas, Paul (Patti) Fridlund and the late John Fridlund Jr.; Dear grandmother of James (Jessica) Douglas, John (the late Jennifer) Douglas, Holly Johnson, Valerie (Sal Acevedo) Fridlund, Jenny Fridlund and Erik Fridlund; Great-grandmother of Harrison and Vivien Douglas, Edward and Fiona Douglas, Bella and a baby boy on the way. C’Dale was born in Oak Park, Illinois and died August 10 at the age of 95. After graduation from Austin High School in Chicago, she worked as a secretary until her marriage in 1946. A longtime resident of Itasca, C’Dale was a loving homemaker and mother. She also worked for several years as a secretary at Bethany United Methodist Church and as a volunteer at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She will long be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness, her strength, her cheerful disposition and her unique first name. Visitation Wednesday, August 17 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service, 12:00 pm at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment private.
