Biography

Eugene "Gene" Mikulecky age 91; loving Husband of 60 years to his late wife Wanda. Father of Richard (Candy) Mikulecky, Donna (Bob) Zimmerman, Ronald (Roxanne) Mikulecky and Diane (Jim) Hannes; Grandfather of Abbigayle (Eric) Milliman, Brian Zimmerman, Elisabeth (Oli) Blackbourn, Ann Mikulecky, Ronald Mikulecky, Sandy (Phil) Mazzio and Tim (Stephanie) Mikulecky; Great-Grandfather of Ava and Harper Milliman, Lara, Nicole, and Phillip Mazzio and Tim Mikulecky. Visitation Tuesday 9:00 am until time of Service, 10:00 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Gene was a charitable Naval Reserve veteran and beloved Chaplain to the American Legion, a lifetime fan of the Chicago Cubs, “Most Friendly” in his class at Schurz High School, lover of animals, airplanes, boats, gardening and supporter of those less fortunate.
